Capt. Chute served as the Commando Adjutantwith No.6 Commando from, at least,
7th July 1941
until he was injured in a car crash, returning to the unit on
10th August 1941
and posted to the
STC
at Lochailot (Scotland). His duties were taken over on 30th January 1942 by Lt. Gouli Knox, and Capt. Chute was posted to 2nd Fife & Forfar Yeomanry.
