Maj. Gofton-Salmond
Maj. Gofton Salmond served as the second-in-command of No.6 Commando from 26th July 1940.
However, disillusioned with the lack of combat he requested to be RTU-ed in late 1940. Later joining the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Parachute Brigade as Lt-Colonel.
