Lt. John Murray Scott, formerly of the Border Regiment, served as Troop Sub-Altern No.5 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 8th May 1942. He was promoted as a Troop Captain of No.3 Troop from, at least,

Capt. John Scott was Killed In Action (KIA) by gunshot wound to his head on
30th November 1942
during the aborted attack on Djeb-el-Azzag (‘Green Hill’), aged just 26 years. He was the son of John James Scott (a Solicitor) and Maud Mary Scott, of Chipstead, Surrey. John is commemorated on the Medjez-El-Bab memorial. Face 21. |
