VI COMMANDO

Prt. David Scott "Scotty" Burns enlisted in the Royal Scots on the 2^nd Sept 1939, shortly before the outbreak of World War II, he later joined No.6 Commando obtaining the rank of Corporal, and moved to No.2 Special Boat Section, at Hillhead, in late 1943.

In 1944, and as part of No.2 Special Boat Section, Cpl. David Burns was posted to India and then to Ceylon (aka Sri Lanka).
