VI COMMANDO

Prt. F. Chaplinh served in No.2 of No.6 Commando from, at least, October 1942. When the Troops were amalgamated in late January 1943 he served in No.5 Troop.

Prt. F. Chaplin was reported as being severly wounded on 6/7th January 1943 following the aborted attack on Djebel-Azag (‘Conical Hill’).
