VI COMMANDO

Prt. Edward Connor, formerly of the 8th Bn. Royal Scots, served with No.1 (Cycle) Troop of No. 6 Commando.

Prt. Edward Connor was Killed in Action (KIA) onboard the landing craft LCI(S) 503 during the D-Day landings on 6th June 1944, aged 19 years

Edward was the son of Edward and Mary Connor of Edinburgh, and was commemorated on the Bayeux Memorial (Bayeux War Cemetery) Panel 12, Column 3.
