VI COMMANDO

L/Sgt. A. Evans, served with No.6 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 8^th August 1941.

L/Sgt. A. Evans is reported to have suffered injuries including a cut over left temporal region following the grenade accident aboard HMS Prince Charles on 9^th December 1941 during the preparations for the raid on Florø (Norway).

It is noted that L/Sgt. Evans was with No.6 Troop on D-Day and was wounded in the shoulder at Breville by the same machine gun fire that killed Lt. Derek Dutton and Sgt. George Elsdon.
