Prt. James William Edgar Floyd, formerly of the Middlesex Regiment, served with No.2 Troop of No.6 Commando, serving as Lt. John Hume-Spry’s batman and as a Troop sniper. James was KIA (drowned) on 24th March 1945, aged 21 years. He was the son of James Sidney and Louisa Hilda Floyd, of James was laid to rest in the The inscription on his headstone reads: ‘God Bless Our Son.’ |
