Prt. John "Paddy" Gallagher, formerly of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, served in No.4 Troop of No.6 Commando.from, at least, October 1942.

Prt. John Gallagher was Killed In Action (KIA) on 11th April 1945 , aged 30 years.

He was the son of Frank and Mary Gallagher, of Dunlewy, Co. Donegal, Irish Republic . John was laid to rest in Celle War Cemetery ( Celle , Niederschsen , Germany ) Grave 3.F.9.
