VI COMMANDO

L/Sgt. F. Harris

(S/N 204311)

L/Sgt. F. Harris served in No.6 Commando from, at least, December 1941.

He suffered massive injuries including punctured left lung, severe injury to right hand and numerous lacerations following the grenade accident aboard HMS Prince Charles on 9th December 1941 during the preparations for the raid on Florø ( Norway ) .

L/Sgt. F. Harris was in a critical state whilst being transported back to the UK .
