Cpl. Danny Hillman, formerly of the Devonshire Regiment, served with No.1 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 20th March 1942. Promoted to Sergeant, Sgt. Danny Hillman served with Lt. Donald Colquhoun’s Section of No.3 Troop of No.6 Commando from at least 5th June 1944. Sgt. Hillman (Gordon Fleming reported) was badly wounded by friendly fire during the fighting patrol outside Le Plein on the evening of 21st / 22nd 1944. |
