Sign. John Brown MacPherson, formerly of the Royal Corps of Signals, served with No.6 Commando from, at least, 26th June 1942.
Sign Macpherson was a keen amateur boxer, and fought on the Commando’s boxing team as a Welter Weight.
Sign. John MacPherson was Killed In Action (KIA) on 13th December 1942, aged 24 years.
John was the son of David Thomson MacPherson and Margaret Brown MacPherson, of Dunfermline, Fife. He was laid to rest in memorium on the Medjez-El-Bab Memorial (Tunisia) Face 11.
