VI COMMANDO

L/Cpl. Jack Sanderson, formerly of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), served with No.2 Troop of No.6 Commando.

L/Cpl. Jack Sanderson was Killed In Action (KIA) on 23^rd March 1945, aged 22 years.

Jack was the son of Thomas and Gwladys Sanderson, of Sheffield. He was laid to rest in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery (Kleve, Nordrhein-Westfalen) Grave 44.A.2.

The inscription on his headstone reads:

‘His great love & devotion will live in our hearts for ever.’
