Prt. Vic Searle served with No.6 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 8th August 1941.
Promoted to a Corporal, it is noted that he was serving in No.5 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, October 1942 and was still with the Commando on the evening of D-Day 6 the June 1944, having been sent to give support to No.4 Commando.
