Prt. Robert Arthur Stickley

Prt. Robert Arthur Stickley, formerly of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment, served with No.6 Commando from 28th September 1945.

Prt. Robert Stickley was mortally wounded in a gun accident on Brighton Beach during the evening of 19th November 1945, and later died from his wounds on 30th November 1945, aged 19 years, in Sussex County Hospital.

Robert was the son of Cpl. Albert William Stickley, Royal Engineers (killed in action at Dunkirk, France, 27th May,1940), and of Sarah Stickley, of Hounslow, Middlesex. Robert was laid to rest in Hove New Cemetery Block 1. Grave 20.
