VI COMMANDO

Dvr. Leslie Wilson, formerly of the Royal Army Service Corps, served with No.4 Troop of No.6 Commando.

Dvr. Leslie Wilson was Killed In Action (KIA) on 11th April 1945, aged 20 years. He was the son of Lucy Wilson, of Coal Aston, Derbyshire. Leslie was laid to rest in Celle War Cemetery (Celle, Niederschsen, Germany) Grave 3.F.10.

The inscription on his headstone reads:

‘He gave his greatest gift, his unfinished life. Loved and remembered.’
